What’s happening in the real estate market here in the Raleigh-Durham area as we head in to March?
According to the most recent triangle MLS data, we’re seeing a few things. The first thing we’re seeing is the fed decided to let interest rates hold steady. The second thing we’re seeing is higher inventory so far in 2019, as compared to 2018. In fact it was 15% higher in January. Buyers this means right now is the best time to buy this year. Not only are interest rates potentially the lowest they’ll be all year, but inventory is significantly improved. So don’t wait to start looking.
The final thing we’re seeing is that sales prices for homes here in the triangle are up 4% from this same time last year, that is huge! Sellers that means now is a great time to sell. If you’ve been thinking about taking advantage of your appreciation in your home, now is the time to do it.
